Kannur Vivarasanchayika
Kannur Vivarasanchayika is a project implemented this year by the Kannur District Panchayat, the District Planning Committee and the local government bodies of the district with the technical assistance of the Department of Economic Status and Accounts in order to collate and make available comprehensive socio-economic spatial information of the district in order to facilitate the development planning and policy formulation of the local self-governing institutions.
As part of this project, all households and institutions in all sections of the district are collecting information using a mobile application. Selected enumerators also collect data at ward level allocation. For this, field visits are conducted and information such as social, health education, employment, non-residents and state workers are collected from the families in the district.
This collected information is checked by the officers (supervisors) to get closer to the socio-economic status. After approval to the panchayat board, the information at ward, panchayat, block and district levels will be made available on a web portal to be saved in the state government database. Mechanisms will be in place to achieve continuous development goals.
